Meet Our Wonderful Staff

Mary Barnes lives in Guilford with husband, Roger, and teenage children Stephen and Maddie. Mary has played tennis for a number of years and been an active participant on mutliple USTA teams. She works several desk shifts and is the USTA coordinator for GRSC adult teams. |

Holly Brink began playing tennis at GR&SC in 1997, and joined the front desk staff in 2011. She is the mother of 4 children. When not playing tennis or taking care of her family, Holly is probably traveling. |

Alfie Butun has played tennis at the club since 1991 and has worked on the Front Desk since 1993. Originally from Norway, Alfie settled in Madison in 1981. During her free time, she likes to walk, read, cook gourmet food and travel. |

Ann DiCicco lives in Guilford and has worked on the desk for several years. She has three daughters and twin granddaughters. |

Beth Hall, who handles customer accounts, grew up in Guilford and now resides in Clinton. She and Matthew, her husband, have two daughters - Emily and Kate. Before starting a family, Beth worked in banking, and in child care at a local fitness center. |

Jane Hummel started playing tennis at the Club in 1998 and has worked on the desk since 1999. She was born in Guildford, England and now lives with her husband, Gary in Branford. They have two grown children, Jonathan who lives in Clinton and Sarah who is currently in Grad School in New Jersey. |

Cindy Iasparra lives in East Haven and has three daughters, one son and a grandson. She has worked at GR&SC for a few years and is often foun
d playing games on the floor with our youngest members. |

Marianne Papa was a member at the club with her four children for years before she joined our weekend Front Desk staff in the Fall of 2006. You will see her some Sunday mornings. |

Sue Ellen Rieben is a graduate of Colby College, having been raised in Stonington CT.. She and her husband Stephen have lived in Guilford for 30 years. They love being empty nesters! Grown children Christian and daughter Alex played tennis at the club and both worked as gate guards for several summers. The high point of Sue-Ellen's tennis career was the trip to Indian Wells for Senior Nationals in 2006. Go Red Hots! |

Lynnelle Schmidt began working in the playroom in the Fall of 2011, where she is frequently found playing games on the floor with our littlest members. |

Judy Sokoloff has played tennis since 1994, when she became a member of the club. For four of those years she was a USTA team player. She started working here in 1997. She is very busy working at the office of her husband, Dr. Richard Sokoloff. Originally from Pennsylvania, Judy moved to Connecticut in 1977, and has lived in Guilford since 1982. Judy has two sons, Jason (recently married to Kimberly!) and Derek, who are now working on their careers. Outside of work and tennis, Judy enjoys sewing, needlepoint, knitting and kayaking. She looks forward to traveling more in the future with her husband. |
