Leagues

September 2010 - May 2011 ~ click here

We offer leagues daily, for men and women, singles, doubles and mixed doubles, at a variety of levels. Each week, the rotation is provided for the players, and league standings are kept in the lobby and on the website. We have openings right now. If you want to learn if there is a fit for you, email Sarah.

All leagues run for the entire 32-week indoor season, beginning in September and ending in May. You must be an Indoor Member to participate. For 2010-2011, Winter Membership costs $170 for an individual and $310 for a couple. All league prices listed are for the full season.

If you are interested in joining or starting a league, please call or email Sarah Boone. She can be reached at 203-453-4367 or by email

This indoor season, we are launching some new leagues and maintaining some of the leagues we have had for years. Please email Sarah if you are interested in league play, with your day and time availability, as well as level of play and singles or doubles preference. An updated league list will be posted shortly. See you on the courts!

*Tennis Balls are supplied by the club and included in the cost of the Tuesday Women's Progressive league.

If you have any questions about placement or openings, please contact Sarah. The tennis pros will be consulted to ensure enjoyable and competitive play for all league participants. To reserve a spot in a league, your level must be determined to be appropriate for the league, and a deposit of $25 is required. The schedule and players in the league will be mailed to you before the league begins in September. If you are not currently in a league, please ask the Front Desk staff to put you on the Wish List. Enjoy!

League Lateness Policy

We regret that we need to make a policy change for all league play as a result of tardiness by a handful of players. As you all know, your scheduled court time is valuable and all players deserve to play the full, allotted time slot. When a playeri s late, particularly more than once, it is unfair to the other playerso n the court. We hope that the following policy will discourage any continued lateness.

Standard Leagues: If you are chronically 10 minutes late (as marked more than once by Front Desk Staff or other players), you will be penalized 3 games for that day's match.
Progressive Leagues: If you are chronically 10 minutes late (as marked more than once by Front Desk Staff or other players), and there is a tie as to who moves down one court, you will move down, regardless of the prior week's scores.
We truly hate to have to create such a rule, but feel we must in order to be fair to all the league players who show upon time and are on the court, prepared for play, at the league's scheduled starting time. We hope that we will not have to penalize any players and that you are all able to enjoy your league play fully. Ify ou have any questions, do not hesitate to call the club.
