Junior Tennis Programs ~ Winter 2009 Classes start January 5th!

We offer several different Junior Instructional Programs. There are three sessions: 12 weeks in the Fall, 10 weeks in the Winter and 8 weeks in the Spring.
The Winter Junior Programs run for 10 weeks beginning Monday, January 5, 2009 and finishing on Saturday, March 22, 2009. There are no lessons February 16-22. There are no make-ups for missed lessons. Students will be placed by ability, with age and gender taken into consideration. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and a good pair of non-marking tennis shoes. They should bring their own tennis racquet and a water bottle. We do not have loaner rackets.
Junior Open Time Policy: During their enrollment in the program, all students may play for free on unreserved courts with other students in their program (only!) AND they receive limited indoor membership, entitling them to reserve and pay the going rate for indoor court time with other indoor members. Students holding indoor membership as a result of participation in one of the programs listed below may not bring guests.
Applications are available at the Front Desk or through the "Pay Online" button on this web-site. A 50% non-refundable deposit must accompany this application. Use the Additional Info section to complete name of student, date of borth, name, day and time of desired program. The balance is due the first day of the program. Munchkins Beginner & advanced beginner groups. Students will learn the fundamentals of stroke production, grips, footwork, and basic rules. More advanced players will learn how to play a match. A great introduction for your child!

Advanced Middle School Group Players must be tested by Chris if they haven't been in this program. Advanced Middle School tennis is for those students who are a little more serious about pursuing tennis as a competitive sport. It is the advanced program, geared for younger players. Players will learn grips, technique, agility, conditioning, and strategy. We will be encouraging these players to get involved in entry level tournaments and will assist them in finding these tournaments.

Advanced Junior Development Advanced Junior Development is for players who have mastered all of the basic skills and are looking to learn more advanced techniques and master match play.

Tournament Group The Tournament Group is for players who are playing competitively either on high school teams or in tournaments. Drills, conditioning, agility, match play, organized matches and videotaping will all be a part of this program. The number of students will be limited so please call Chris personally to see if you qualify.

Instruction Policy
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due with the application to hold a spot in a program. In all group instructional programs, you are responsible for your space in that program from the time you sign up until the conclusion of the program. If for any reason you drop out, you will be credited from the date that we replace you, not the date you drop out.
There are no credits for missed lessons. There are no guaranteed make-ups in any program.
Children must bring racquets for play ~ loaner racquets are not available.
During the duration of the program, all students may play for free on unreserved courts with other students in their program (only!) AND they receive limited indoor membership, entitling them to reserve and pay the going rate for indoor court time with other indoor members.
Students holding indoor membership as a result of participation in one of the programs listed below may not bring guests.
In the case of a medical problem that causes you to drop out of a program, you will be credited from the date that we are notified of the injury/illness. A doctor’s note must be submitted to the Club.
If you are moving away, please give us some advance notice as to your last day of play. We will credit you as of the last day of play provided we are given some time to line up a replacement.
